Encounters

Design of the communication materials for an exhibition showcasing contemporary art and design held at the Awazu Residence. The residence was the personal home of Kiyoshi Awazu, a leading Japanese graphic designer active since the 1950s, and a residential masterpiece designed by architect Hiroshi Hara. The unique atmosphere of the building shaped the overall experience of the exhibition. The communication design is inspired by a sentiment from Awazu: 

“The fact that someone meets someone else creates a world that has never existed before. With each other, each holding something unknown, whether inevitable or coincidental, something entirely new begins.”
