Jasper Morrison – THINGNESS

Design of a poster and other communication tools for the first retrospective exhibition of internationally acclaimed designer Jasper Morrison. Initiated by the Grand Hornu Museum, “Thingness” was later exhibited at the Museum für Gestaltung (Zurich), Bauhaus Archive (Berlin), Grassi Museum (Leipzig) and Piknic Gallery (Seoul). The exhibition’s name describes a moment or part of an object, rather than a specific product. The poster picks up on one of Morrison’s plywood chair sketches, which expresses a so-called “thingy” moment, while also incorporating typography into the illustration.
